Accidentally kill the battery of your Tesla rental?

You'll need to have a tow truck take you and the Tesla to the nearest Tesla Supercharger
(Charging will be slower if taking to destination charger or public charger such as ChargePoint)

Due to the fact that our rentals are AWD, the type of tow that will be needed is one that lifts ALL wheels (rear and front).
Failure to have proper tow could result in damage to the Tesla.
Make sure when placing the call for the tow, the company knows it's an All Wheel Drive Tesla.

Here are excerpts from the Tesla manuals:

While the manual can be located in the glovebox, if you don't have power to the car you may have trouble accessing. Find FULL Tesla manuals here.

Once arrived at the Supercharger, have the tow stay with the Tesla.

A jump needs to stay connected while the Tesla begins Supercharging. Leave the jump connected for at least 2min while you see Supercharging begin.
After 2min of confirmed Supercharging, the tow driver can disconnect jump and leave.
Charge the Tesla battery to at least 80% while connected to the Supercharger and then continue on your trip.

Battery Tips

- Turn OFF climate keeper in the settings of your rental if turned on, this turns A/C on when the Tesla gets warm even when no one is inside.

- The best way to never experience a dead battery is to plan on never leaving a Tesla parked while it has less that 20% battery (phantom draining occurs).
A happy Tesla is a plugged in Tesla - Many hotels, restaurants, and venues have free charging if you ask.

- Battery drain is dependent on driving style, settings, and weather.
For maximum range: use chill and range mode with standard regenerative braking.
