Renter and Vehicle Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for Pacific Ride, you must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.
Renter Eligibility Requirements
To reserve and drive a car through Pacific Ride, you must meet all of the following:
Be at least 19 years old. If driving a "Specialty" vehicle, must be at least 25 years old.
Have no major violations or alcohol / drug related incidents in the past three years (for major violations) or seven years (for alcohol or drug-related incidents), respectively. Major violations are defined by state law and may include driving with a suspended or expired license, providing false or counterfeit documents, and engaging in speed contests.
Have no more than two violations or accidents combined in the past three years.
Drivers under age 21 must have a clean driving record (no violations or accidents in the last three years).
Must have been licensed for at least two years.
International drivers as well as drivers from HI and AK, and AB, BC, MB, NL, NT, NU, PE, QC, SK, and YT in Canada must be at least 25 years old.
Renter Eligibility Documentation
Motor Vehicle Records shall be obtained for all prospective "Renters" prior to formal acceptance into the Pacific Ride program.
Pacific Ride does not release such Motor Vehicle Records to prospective βRentersβ.
Renter Eligibility Continued Monitoring
Pacific Ride may periodically monitor any Renter driving record to ensure that such Renter continues to qualify for membership under our Renter Eligibility Requirements.
In addition, Renter reviews can be triggered by a number of "Source Events." "Source Events" include:
(i) External notification by the State DMV (if supported by the driver license issuer state);
(ii) External notification by any Pacific Ride User; or
(iii) internal notification by the Pacific Ride system functionality that we may establish and maintain from time to time and in our sole discretion.
