TIPS FOR TAKING VERIFICATION PHOTOS AT PICK UP // Contactless handoff.
Follow these guidelines for taking verification photos. Doing so will help us to complete the verification process as quickly as possible to remotely unlock your rental.
1) DRIVER’S LICENSE PHOTO
Take a clear, close-up photo in which all four corners and sides of the license are visible.
Pacific Ride accepts certain temporary licenses from specific US states. Contact us if you have a temporary license and want to find out if we accept it. Your temporary license:
must be valid at the start and through the end of the trip
must have a photo directly on the temporary license (if not, you must also have a secondary government-issued photo ID such as an ID card or passport)
must not have any restrictions (e.g. no “daytime driving only,” no provisional licenses, etc).
Pacific Ride accepts international driver’s permits as long as they are accompanied by a valid driver’s license issued in your country of residence.
2) SELFIE OF YOU HOLDING YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE NEXT TO YOUR FACE
Take a clear photo of you holding your driver's license next to your face. Make sure your head and shoulders are visible and your full arm is showing, if possible.
Be sure we can clearly see your face. Don’t wear any hats or sunglasses.
HOW TO TAKE VERIFICATION PHOTOS
To keep the verification process moving smoothly, we suggest you follow these photo guidelines:
Avoid using the flash setting on your camera; it tends to leave whiteout areas.
Don’t use filters. It may look as though you’ve tampered with your documents.
Make sure that all photos are in-focus.
Preview the photos before you send them. Be sure you’ve fully captured and can clearly read all of the information on the documentation.
Don’t submit any scanned documents. We can only accept photos as it allows us to confirm that the documents are in your possession.
HOW TO SUBMIT VERIFICATION PHOTOS
There are two ways you can submit your photos to Pacific Ride:
SUBMITTING VIA SMS
